Besides addressing the functional requirements of the project, we try & go beyond the design brief to ‘catch hold of that special thing’…to lend ‘an additional edge’ to all the spaces to get the customers in & help sustain their interest…thus help to boost ‘the footfalls’& give ‘real tangible results’ to our discerning clients…all of it within the budget & any other specified parameters.
We have worked on a few interesting assignments like salons, restaurants, shops & canteens in this segment.
…an interesting project for a start-up company dealing in Children’s garments, toys & accessories… to be designed & executed in quick time.. in a leased out space ..done with imaginative use of colour.. ’multi-use furniture modules’…no false ceiling ..we used the patty wiring to create a pattern coupled with use of bright colours.. all of it within a shoestring budget.
…a smallish food joint located off the busy Mumbai - Thane expressway with a dual intent of catering to ‘sit- in’ & ‘take- away’ segments. We proposed a layout that maximised the seating capacity & a look that had varied elements thrown in to sustain the interest of their customers.
..it was very satisfying to know that patrons frequented this unisex saloon for its spatial appeal (as much for the services they got)…the modern day ‘shamiana’ theme conceived could only be partially implemented giving regard to the cost considerations…it manifests itself though in the false ceiling design... Contrasting colours, shapes & the eclectic lighting make this space quite interesting to be in.
…the school wanted an existing conference room to be remodelled in to a proper canteen space where students could pick up pre - cooked food items to be eaten there itself. We retained the false ceiling making a few ‘telling changes’… organised a sizeable pantry counter , standing counters to have maximum open area fronting the counters….the highlight was however the dynamic geometrical pattern done using computer cut simple inexpensive glazed ceramic tiles on the long pantry counter fascia. This became the focal point …a sort of a 'draw - in element' & along with the use of playful colours made this a much sought after space for students & faculty alike.
