…A prestigious MNC in the financial sector of absolute international stature wanted their existing Mumbai head office to be remodelled “ respecting the existing ethos”....the challenge was to blend seamlessly with a done up office space and enhance its functionality within set parameters of services & furniture design. We redesigned 70% of the office space anew inclusive of the reception, board room, conferencing,dealing room, canteen & ‘rearrangement’ of the entire balance area comprising of work stations & cubicles.
…this office housed a few important departments meant to serve the head office. It required us to take a ‘fresh stance’ and come up with an efficient plan, ‘functional to the T’… with the look having relativity with the head office interiors.
… thorough design engineering to come up with a prototype design accommodating the various requirements within the minimum space, ‘set us up ‘ for these assignments at various places – ‘Pan India’. The Challenge thereon, was to ‘get everything right’ as per the decided design parameters for spaces with varied planar geometry and keeping ‘the corporate identity imprint’ intact.
… Impressed with our design effort for the F.T.A.M. head office, we were commissioned for comprehensive design consultancy (Interior & services design) for this prestigious project. The office was to house the higher echelons of the organisation including the Managing Directors office. We gave it a very rich & airy look by virtue of open planning & a mixed palette of hi-end & medium end finishes for furniture & shell work.
This was an interesting project for a UK based MNC in financial advisory & private Equity services…Two offices alongside, one to be the regular working office & the other for conducting meetings with their esteemed clientele in India & across the world, also housing the ‘M.D’s Domain’. We followed ‘space thrift functionalism’ & ‘threadbare workable aesthetics’ for the staff area & conceived the other half as an opulent space, rich in aesthetic appeal, ….acheiving a brilliant ‘contrast of aesthetics’ between the two zones…aligned with the intented use.
… Our ‘pure concept driven approach’ helped us bag this Project amidst stiff competition for this Marine recruitment agency’s head office ...It turned out to be a ‘gem of an assignment’ as the client was very supportive in implementing the design with all its ‘thematic zest intact’…and the results spread a lot of cheer! This office project was done in partnership with Ar. Vivek Shirodkar.
…this turned out to be a multi-layered assignment. Remodelling of an existing working office space for ‘The paper Conglomerate Of India’...housed in a graded heritage building within a heritage precinct…to address the rigamorales of modern-day office requirements.. with the intent of preserving & building upon the existing pristine aesthetic. We retained & repolished the flooring, employed materials like bamboo, rubber wood, handmade paper, vaulted ceiling, fabric rexin, traditional knick-knacks..all appointed judiciously to achieve the needful…& go beyond.
“ … Please give us a similar shell design & exactly the same reception area, but with our requirements ...within the budget & time frame… also I want you to explore the use of Coffee colour …” was the specific design brief given to us after taking a good look at the STFC Head office. We did exactly that & the results were appreciated too..!
..the project site implied combining two ground floor adjoining flats of a residential loadbearing structure… the limitations were converted into an advantage by having compartmentalisation of areas as per clients work ethic, keeping the functional flow between the internal departments intact. A ‘traditional wood construction’ look was continued throughout all the office spaces to have a ‘uniformity of look & feel’.
…This office has a distinct contemporary look & feel to it employing a very honest & straight forward vocabulary in space planning & treatment aligned with the clients thought & business work ethic. All design decisions in this project are a pragmatic response to the functional needs of the space complemented by judicious use of modern-day materials like glass (clear, frosted & film backed), acoustic grid false ceiling, wood look partitions & a dash of colour thrown in to give it a really young & state of the art look.
…this office for the ‘telecommunications major’ had varied types of workspaces leading to a densely populated layout, manifesting in the third dimension by use of varied materials, finishes, colours & textures coherent with the spaces…it created vibrant & interesting vistas all throughout the office space. This project was done with the Hyderabad based turnkey contractors M/S Stellar Space.
…this project required us to exercise our design skill in coming up with an interior layout that could accommodate the various requirements of furniture & space types exactly as per their pre-decided international uniform standards of design and the desirable work flow…All the materials, finishes & types for various spaces were to be followed within the shell design done by us …we could also participate more in designing of a few areas like the reception, pantry, conferencing facility & meeting rooms. This project was done with the Hyderabad based turnkey contractors – M/S Stellar Space.
…this office interior project for a ‘software major’ at Hyderabad draws its strength from the meticulously done interior layout. We used ‘duality’ as an intermittent but repetitive theme for a few spaces, as also in deciding upon the patterns for partitions, panelling, flooring & colour thus lending the various spaces a uniform character. This project was done with the Hyderabad based turnkey contractors– M/S Stellar Space.
Branch & Area Offices catering to Vehicle & Home finance were to be set up at a very healthy pace at various places as ‘interface offices’ to deal with their customers. We worked on model layouts for each type to come up with a standardised planar arrangement as a ‘prototype template’ for all offices pan India. We also decided upon a ‘universal look ethic’ for all offices to have ‘differentiation of departments’ by virtue of colour & treatment … a thought that was well received by our clients & turned out to work well as per the feedback received as the branches were rolled out for beneficial use. A very well rounded & satisfying experience for us as interior architects with our in depth involvement related to all aspects of design, right from space validation, design & working drawings, tendering & trouble shooting during work progress up to completion of work.
